Christina Florkowski has been exhibiting photographs for more than two decades, using traditional film, printing, scanning and hand-painting methods. She has found these methodologies wonderfully effective in the attempt to communicate a sense of beauty, clarity, and solitude in the work.

She is also interested in the role artists play within the communities, and the many challenges facing artists in contemporary society. She belongs to both formal and informal artist groups and for several years hosted a commentary group for artists of widely varied media.

Further, she conducted workshops in California at the Center for Photographic Arts in Carmel and the University of California at Santa Cruz, and studied with photographers David Bayles, Ted Orland, Paul Caponigro, Martha Casanave, and Brian Taylor.  She lives in Seattle, Washington.
